- IEEC Weekly Colloquium
IEEC organizes seminars on physics and space sciences every Wednesday in its
Bellaterra office. The colloquia are aimed at a general audience (university
level) and include a few technical details for specialists.
- Joves Talks
Biweekly talks entitled "Joves Talks" (young people talks), with the purpose of enhancing the communication between the young researchers of the institute. This includes members and collaborators of the IEEC within their academic formation period, interested in interchanging opinions and experiences with their colleagues in order to get to know each other not only from an intellectual but also a personal point of view.
- Forum on Current Problems in Stellar, Interstellar & Planetary Physics
This is a forum for discussion about current issues, unsolved problems
and challenges of stellar, interstellar and planetary physics and related problems. The format
consists of a general presentation of a particular topic, followed by a
series of specialized seminars and "ad hoc" meetings of people
interested in particular aspects of such problems. The main goal is to
promote the cooperation among ICE scientists, to increase the
scientific background of PhD students and to foster the scientific
discussion. It is open to everybody interested on such topics.
- Technology Talk
The Advanced Engineering Units of the ICE organizes a monthly talk
about space and scientific technology. The talks are aimed at a general
audience of astronomers and Earth sciences scientists and engineers.
- Meeting - scientific gathering
Every Tuesday at tree o'clock we spend some time after lunch to talk in an informal environment about
science related to the research being carried out at our institute. We normally speak about
articles and preprints that have recently appeared and seem interesting to us, and we can
also discuss more generally any scientific question to exchange knowledge and ideas that
can be useful for everyone's research. Everybody is invited to participate and to contribute
suggest articles or topics for the conversation.
