COST CM-0805
The main objective of this Action is to study chemical processes relevant to the physical conditions encountered in the interstellar medium, and on the surface and in the atmospheres of planetary bodies. The Action aims to provide new insights into the dynamics of the chemical reactions leading to molecular synthesis under such conditions and reveal how these are influenced by the ambient temperature and pressure. Special attention will also be given to the study of the novel surface chemistry prevalent on interstellar medium dust grains and planetary surfaces. The Action also aims to combine such laboratory data with complementary chemical models to allow a fuller interpretation of observational data.

Misteries of the Cosmos
When was the first time that the human looked up at the sky and started to ask himself about what he was looking at? We really do not know, but since then most of these questions have been solved although, many more are waiting to be answered. Some of these questions will be the main topic of the conference cicle, which is organized by the Institute of Space Sciences in colaboratio with the Cosmocaixa.

European Week of Astroparticles
From 10 to 17 October 2009, with open days, talks for the general public, exhibitions organized all over Europe, astroparticle physicists will then meet the general public and explain the challenges they face to answer the hot questions about the Universe, such as What is the Universe made of??, ?What is the origin of cosmic rays?? or ?What is the nature of gravity or dark matter???
